Sunshine Cleaning Is Worthy Of Viewing

By Ken Freeman

I have been told a lot of great things about the movie Sunshine Cleaning that was released in the early part of this year, so, naturally, I have wanted to see it. Well, it was recently available for viewing free-of-charge through the plan that I have with my cable TV and I just now got done watching it.

I will touch upon some of the aspects of the movie while still keeping the majority of it unknown to you. Amy Adams and Emily Blunt play two sisters, Rose and Norah Lorkowski, who happen to be somewhere between 27 - 33 years old and reside in New Mexico.

Their mother died when they were quite young, so they were brought up by only their father who showed them a great deal of love during that hard time. Oscar, portrayed by Jason Spevack, is Rose's son and is around 8 years old.

Oscar has seemingly had some difficulties growing up without a father, but all in all, he's a well educated boy, though a misunderstood one.

Now both Norah and Rose continually found it hard to make it in life and went through a lot of hard times financially. He is not doing all that much better than they are, yet their Dad has discovered one way to make it.

The main premise of this movie involves a business that Rose and Norah decide to start up. This is an unconventional one, as it's based around the cleanup of death scenes after the fact. While they're not required to remove the bodies, they're responsible for cleaning up the blood and any other residue that may have been left behind.

The movie tells the story of their efforts and experience as they build this uniquely interesting business. Through the process, the relationships between Rose and Oscar, Rose and Norah, and various other connections are examined.

All of the actors are wonderful in this movie and you really get a feel for what they are going through, both the good and the bad. This is one movie that I would say you should see, especially if superb quality in a drama is what you like.
