HD Samsung TVs A Brief Overview

By Murphy Alan

Appliance stores are known to have a wide variety of HD television displays from a plethora of manufacturers. There are a number of top manufacturers who produce a diverse range of displays designed to meet most consumer needs. When it comes to displays, one of the biggest differentiation points comes in the number of features there are per model. However, if you're looking for a new display for yourself, you can avoid getting easily confused by doing a little research prior to going to the store. Figure out the features that are standard on most models in a specific brand, and across brands, and then look at what features carry across all brands. What you'll discover as most experts have reviewed is that the Samsung models are the most pioneering, appealing and well-liked brand on the market today due to the number and quality of features offered.

HDTV Design

Samsung is known for its love of experimentation and pushing the envelope when it comes to producing the best in the industry. Sleek and fancy home theater systems are what they generally offer, and they stay on the cutting edge with their products. Whether its with their high-end or midrange products, they provide trendy models that include things like Touch of Color designs that make a display stand out. They have added things like gradient color across the bottom, with red as their first color, and in response to customer feedback, charcoal and gray. They've also introduced a brushed titanium as well as asymmetrical design to one of their Samsung models highlighting their imaginative, different thinking and commitment to producing cutting-edge designs that the public adores.

The Technology Aspects

Samsung introduced an advanced display early in 2011 with a 3D LED. These displays are very thin, come with an Ultra Clear Panel which keeps all of the colors presented very natural. High-end models also come with Precision Dimming Technology which yields darker blacks without producing a "halo" effect. They also come equipped with 240 Hz Clear Motion Rate which yields smoother visuals. In the midrange models, they come with a 120 Hz which is still good for watching television and sports shows. Samsung has various categories for its displays which are by "series" in order to make purchasing a model easier to understand. Even if a person buys an entry level model, they can still get some good features including Wide color Enhancer Plus which provides more detail to imagery. All of their models both 2010 and 2011, exceed Energy Star 4.0 standards and are considered environmentally-friendly with reduced power consumption.

Special Features

Most of the recent models come with a Game Mode which works towards improved quality with games especially in areas that are dark. They also have a USB port on some models and can use the ConnectShare Movie feature which allows you to playback videos, pictures and music from a flash drive. On the higher-end models there is a feature called Samsung Smart TV which allows special Samsung applications to go to various web services via the Internet and an Ethernet connection, and some models even allow you to connect and talk with Skype.

Because Samsung is such an innovative company, its models continue to improve and impress buyers, allowing them to thrive in the fiercely competitive television market.
