Play Drums!

Do you have the eagerness to play drums but still a novice in using the said musical instrument? Well then nowadays you don't have to worry about how to play the drum instrument for you can find a lot of fundamental knowledge that you can find online where you can learn how to play the drums on your own.

The basic key in understanding the best way to play drums is to learn about timing. Having the appropriate timing in every play of the instrument is very important. This will set how slow or how fast the melody being played along with the other musical instruments like the guitar and also electric keyboard. You can use a metronome to familiarize yourself with the different beats and timing. Some even goes to the point of sleeping together with their metronome in order to be pros in beat and timing.

Play Drums the Simple Way!

The 2nd thing to know is counting. This goes together with timing. Without being able to count or know time signatures, you're plain useless behind the instrument. Every person should learn how to count to four for this would become the basis of your beat. From here you would continue your count using your dominant hand. Then the rest is really easy, because you're already counting you could just then insert your snare and bass drum on the counts. Wherein the bass drum is on 1 and the snare drum is on 3.

Learn how to Play Drums

So next, you need to learn to properly hold the drum sticks as well as know how you can properly hit the drums. Stick control and drum rudiments are very important for these could build up your independence in playing the drums. The most typical drum rudiments used are Single stoke roll and Double stroke roll. Take time in learning these rudiments and you'll eventually get the hang of correctly hitting the drums. And if you also have someone that could coach you on some simple methods of stick control, do not be shy in asking for some guidance. This could certainly aid you learn playing the drums a lot easier.
