what exactly is brightroom photography

By David Tutten

Photography is an art, a science of capturing photos by recording radiation on radiation sensitive medium, for example photographic film or electronic image sensor. Photography uses foremost radiation in the UV, perceivable and near-IR range. For common purposes the term light is employed rather than radiation. Light reflected or emitted from objects form a real image on a light sensitive area (film or plate) or a FPA pixel array sensor by means of a pin hole or lens in a device commonly known as a camera in a timed exposure. The result on film or plate is a latent image, afterwards became a visible image (negative or diapositive). An image on paper base is often known as a print. The result on the FPA pixel array sensor is an electrical charge at every pixel which is electronically processed and stored in a PC (raster) -image file for subsequent display or processing. Photography has many uses for business, science, producing (f.i. Photolithography), art, and recreational purposes.

Photography is an expansive art form that includes more than just portraiture, landscape or glamour photography. Both professional and non-professional photographers may favor specific types of photography over others. While a professional shutter-bug may work in photojournalism, a beginner could be particularly interested in macrophotography.

Though amateurs may break into this field without formal training, photojournalism is usually limited to professionals. While professionals who do something shots may specialize in a selection of different subjects, sports photography is one of the quickest and most exciting kinds of photography.

Documentary pictures tell stories with images. The biggest difference between photojournalism and documentary photography is that documentary photography is supposed to function as a historic document of a political or social time while photojournalism documents a selected scene or example.

Macrophotography describes the field of photography in which pictures are taken at close range. Once limited to photographers with advanced and pricey apparatus, macrophotography is now simpler for beginners to practice with digicams with macro settings.

Microphotography uses specialized cameras and microscopes to capture images of intensely little subjects. Most applications of microphotography are most suitable for the systematic world.

Glamour photography, sometimes confused with porno, might be attractive and erotic but it's not lewd. An aerial snapper makes a speciality of taking photos from the air.

Subaquatic photography is usually employed by scuba divers or snorkelers. But the price of scuba swimming, coupled with generally expensive and unmanageable undersea photography clobber, makes this one of the less common sorts of photography.
